Myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a 'heart attack", is when the blood supply to the myocardium (heart muscle) becomes blocked and the muscle becomes ischaemic (reduced oxygen supply). This typically presents with central, crushing chest pain, sweating, shortness of breath, and nausea.   Our cardiac expert witnesses are available to provide their expert medico legal opinion in cases involving the diagnosis, management, and prognosis of myocardial infarction.
