Clinical practice experience
Professor Child completed his undergraduate training at the Universities of Cambridge and London, before undertaking postgraduate training in Oxford and Montreal. His MD was awarded by the University of London, titled 'Clinical and ultrasound prediction of outcome in unstimulated oocyte in-vitro maturation cycles.' From 1994. Professor Child has specialised in women’s health and reproductive medicine; he was appointed in 2004 as a Senior Fellow at the University of Oxford and an Honorary Consultant Gynaecologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Professor Child co-founded Central and Northern Europe’s largest IVF group, The Fertility Partnership (TFP) and held the positions of Group Medical Director and Medical Director of TFP Oxford Fertility. Currently, Professor Child is an Associate Professor of Reproductive Medicine in Oxford and a Board Member of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA).
