Sciatica Expert Witnesses

The sciatic nerve emerges in the lumbosacral region of the spine, descending down the back of the thigh, entering the popliteal fossa (knee region), before dividing into the tibial and peroneal nerves. The sciatic nerve is responsible for the motor movements of the thigh, lower leg, and foot. Sciatica arises from inflammation, pressure, or injury of the sciatic nerve. Sciatica classically presents with shooting pain that runs from the lower back/buttock, down the back of the thigh, past the knee, and sometimes into the foot.   Our expert witnesses are available to provide their expert medico legal opinion on cases involving suspected or confirmed sciatic nerve disorder.
