Dr Rimma Grant

Dr Rimma Grant started her career at the Royal Oldham Hospital when she qualified as a Doctor in August 2007; here she completed her FY1 and FY2 until she started her training in general practice in August 2009. In June 2015, Dr Grant became a salaried General Practitioner (GP); a position which she enjoyed at the Firsway Health Centre, before becoming a GP Partner in 2019.

Dr Grant has a special interest in family planning, women’s health, and medical education.

Dr Grant has a long history of teaching experience for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Initially she was a problem-based learning teacher for a group of Year 4 medical students involved in mentoring and facilitating the Family and Children module. Later, from September 2016 to March 2020, Dr Grant took on the role of a Clinical Debrief Tutor at the University of Manchester, where she supervised and organised teaching content for weekly groups of third year medical students and facilitating clinical reasoning and discussions of their clinical cases. Now, Dr Grant enjoys her role as an FY2 trainee supervisor.

As a GP Partner, Dr Grant enjoys her role which involves practice management.
