Miss Charlotte Cassis

Miss Charlotte Cassis completed her pre‑clinical medical training at the University of Oxford before qualifying at University College London in 2009. She achieved her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2021, gaining additional ATSM qualifications in the Advanced Labour Ward, Menopause and Urogynaecology. During her specialty training she took a sabbatical to undertake a urogynaecology clinical‑research fellowship at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, culminating in an MD thesis that examined female sexual function throughout pregnancy and the post‑natal period. In 2021 she was appointed Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Whittington Hospital, where she now leads maternity triage, coordinates the benign gynaecology multidisciplinary team (MDT), and runs a suite of specialist clinics including a pelvic‑floor antenatal service, a menopause clinic and a urogynaecology service. Her practice is characterised by a blend of high‑acuity obstetric care and a focused interest in women’s health across the life course, underpinned by a strong research background and a commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration.

Miss Cassis’s clinical portfolio centres on four inter‑related domains. In the labour ward she is experienced in managing complex deliveries, supervising advanced obstetric interventions and providing rapid, evidence‑based decision‑making for both routine and high‑risk births. Her passion for pelvic‑floor health drives the development of an antenatal pelvic‑floor clinic where she assesses and intervenes early to prevent and treat pelvic‑organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and perineal trauma, integrating physiotherapy and surgical options as appropriate. In menopause, she delivers holistic, patient‑centred care that encompasses hormonal and non‑hormonal therapies, lifestyle modification, and counseling on long‑term health risks such as osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease. Finally, her urogynaecology focus encompasses the full spectrum of lower‑tract dysfunction including stress and urgency incontinence, bladder outlet obstruction and vaginal prolapse where she combines conservative management with cutting‑edge surgical techniques and contributes to ongoing research into female sexual function and quality of life. Collectively, these interests reflect her dedication to optimising women’s health from reproductive years through menopause, ensuring continuity of care and advancing clinical standards through research and multidisciplinary teamwork.
